Riverspa: 10 Years of 'Peace and Calm'

Overlooking the majestic Hudson River is an historic building created by prominent architect Stanford White. It was once home to Cosmopolitan magazine and is now a sanctuary of sorts, a place “to feel good and have peace and calm.”
It’s a place that Dr. Heidi Sonn, a chiropractor and movement practitioner, was seeking for 18 months throughout Westchester until she finally found the perfect location on South Buckhout Street in Irvington, not far from her home in Hastings.

New WinterMarket Satisfies Taste Buds
Community Markets’ new indoor WinterMarket opened to rave reviews from customers last month in the Briarcliff Congressional Church, located on the corner of Elm Street and South State Road.
“I’m thrilled! I just think it’s the greatest thing,” said Ossining resident Henrietta Porter. “This is bringing the produce right to us, and it’s quality.”
“I love it. It’s great,” said Marilyn Slaatten, also of Ossining. “They do whatever they can to make you happy.”

‘I Want to Shop Local’ at the Nu Toy Store
Jack Rafter is like a little kid in a toy store. Actually, he is a
little kid and it’s his mother’s toy store. Angel Rafter, 38 (in photo with sons Logan and Jack) opened up
the Nu Toy Store at 36.5 Main St., in Tarrytown, where Baby Bees
recently closed after seven years.
Rafter used to own Kid Stuff, a consignment shop on Broadway, and had
been looking for a place on Main Street to open up a new toy store.
When she inquired about the Baby Bees location, “it was as if all the
doors opened at the same time,” Rafter said, except, she added with a
laugh, “the economic one.”
